Enactment of this legislation could cost the Utah State Board of Education $15,000,000 one-time from Federal Funds beginning in Fiscal Year 2027 to develop program framework, provide professional development for participating schools, administer the program, and report to the Legislature for the five year pilot program. Award of the federal Rural Health Transformation Fund grant, supervised by the Department of Health and Human Services, is contingent upon allowability, performance, and the availability of funds.
