Enactment of this legislation could cost the Department of Natural Resources $38,300 one-time in FY 2027 from the Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining Restricted Account and $10,000 ongoing beginning in FY 2027 from Dedicated Credits to establish a process for a qualified reviewer to complete an expedited review of a permit application for an eligible permit. The department can absorb the one-time Restricted Account costs in FY 2027. Enactment may also cost the Department of Environmental Quality $115,000 one-time from the General Fund in FY 2027 and $102,400 ongoing from Dedicated Credits to to establish a process for a qualified reviewer to complete an expedited review of a permit application for an eligible permit. The department can absorb the one-time General Fund costs in FY 2027.
