Enactment of this bill could cost the Courts $6,712,900 ongoing General Fund beginning in FY 2027 to hire nine new judges and one new Guardian ad Litem attorney. It could also cost $1,345,000 one-time from the General Fund in FY 2027 to build-out shelled courtroom space in Tooele County. Enactment could also cost the Department of Health and Human Services $433,600 ongoing General Fund and $46,000 federal funds beginning in FY 2027 to pay the Attorney General for the increased costs of having an attorney and paralegal assigned to the new juvenile court judge.
